Back to the Grind: The Kids are Gone, and So is My Sanity
The last couple of months have been a glorious dumpster fire, with the summer revolving around my crotch goblins. The kids were here, so every waking moment was dedicated to them. No regrets though, I do feel whole when I have the complete family together. Despite the chaos, I somehow managed to squeeze out a few sales. All my posted guitars? Gone. A MIDI keyboard, modded SNES, and Wii? Also gone. And, because why not, I helped some folks with their home network issues—playing tech support is always a good time.
When I wasn’t wrangling the offspring, I dove into some gaming. Marvel’s Midnight Suns is… fine. Let’s just say it didn’t rock my world, but it kept me busy. On a more exciting note, I installed the Fallout London mod for Fallout 4—now that was worth the effort. Oh, and we managed to squeeze in a Batman-themed DnD session with my hetero life mate as the DM. It was everything you’d expect from a bunch of nerds with too much time on their hands—perfect.
As for my love life? Well, that’s gone to crap. But honestly, who needs it? More time to focus on work, modding, and the occasional existential crisis. The kids left about a week ago, so now it's just me, the grind, and whatever sanity I have left. I’ve got systems to mod, thrifted treasures to flip, and a few more guitars waiting for my tender, loving rework. Here’s to keeping busy in all the best and worst ways.
