Balancing Projects, Hellspawn, and Future Plans

Life’s been a busy lately. Between helping a client with their internet router and wiring four guitars in just a few days, it feels like I am taking crazy pills!

Zoolander quote.

But it’s all good because there’s a trip on the horizon at the end of July for a mix of business and fun.

Having all three of my hellspawn in the house has been incredible. I truly love when they’re all under one roof, even if it means a bit more chaos. Adding to the fun, I’ve also got my dog since the ex is out of town. It’s been a full house, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

On the tech front, I’ve built a low-end PC to run a few game servers for the kids and friends. Minecraft and Valheim are up and running, and we’ll see what else we might add. I’ve also set up my own Plex server via a NAS RAID system, saying goodbye to paid subscriptions for all the different platforms. Now I can rock my own collection, mostly horror movies. Backing up DVDs is a time-consuming task, but totally worth it.

The 9-5 has been pretty chill, with summer camp at work showing a different side of me to my coworkers. It’s fun, but also a reminder that I need to push harder on my business. The goal is to move out and not have to deal with roommates anymore. Living with one is manageable, but multiple roommates are a different story. We’ll see what happens as the end of the contract approaches.

For now, it’s all about balancing work, kids, and getting the business moving. There’s a lot to do, but I’m ready to tackle it all. Ride the chaos.
