Days of Rest and Creativity: Enjoying Simple Pleasures

The past couple of days have been quite the adventure, albeit from the comfort of my own home. Battling a bout of sinus issues had me feeling under the weather, but I refused to let it dampen my spirits. Instead, I took it as an opportunity to slow down, recharge, and indulge in some much-needed rest and relaxation.

Yesterday, after tackling homeschooling duties with my little one, we decided to soak up the sunshine and headed out for a bike ride to the park. It felt wonderful to be outdoors and I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the simple things in life. The rest of the day was spent immersed in the virtual world of Sons of the Forest, exploring new landscapes and embarking on thrilling survival horror adventures.

Today followed a similar pattern, with gaming in the forest taking center stage once again. There's something incredibly therapeutic about losing oneself in the immersive world of video games, allowing the stresses of the outside world to melt away, if only for a little while.

In between gaming sessions, I managed to squeeze in some creative projects of my own. I cleaned up and 3D printed some pieces for some Guitar Hero controllers for the Wii, eager to enhance another Wii’s gaming experience with a personal touch. Additionally, I received a PSP and an Xbox 360 in the mail over the last couple of days, sparking excitement for future modding projects. I also ordered screens for a couple of broken DSi XLs and an original PSP, turning what could be considered chores into enjoyable and fulfilling endeavors.

As I reflect on the past couple of days, I'm reminded of the importance of taking on challenges and finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether it's spending quality time with loved ones, immersing oneself in a favorite hobby, or embarking on creative projects.

Here's to choosing rest, creativity, and the journey ahead.

…Oh and my Stickers and cards came in…
